The Swap Room

I will be at Creative Escape at the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler, AZ for the next few days! So excited to meet all the girls that I have been communicating with and coordinating swaps for. This huge task has put me a little behind on everything else...but life will be back to "semi-normal" again for me soon!

So....

Why don't I....Take on what may possibly be the largest swap ever (perhaps I will be in the Genus Book of World Records), design my first ever "POP-UP" card class, VOLUNTEER to teach at the store sampler next month, be invited to UPDATE my class teacher board, host the "Par-Tee of the Summer," AND decide it is time for me to make Christmas quilt during the month of August????

Something must not be "quite right" with me! HA! (anyone else sense a MELTDOWN approaching?) J/K...I am loving every moment of this super busy time!

BTW: Next month I will have both an evening and a day POP-A-LATTE card class! Class dates are Thursday, September 16th 6 to 8:30 PM and Friday, September 17th, 10:30 to 1. We will do 4 Fall and 4 Halloween POP-UP cards! Call the Scrapbooks, Etc to sign-up at 480-854-2303.

Here is my quilt that I have worked so hard on...cutting, pressing, sewing, pressing, sewing, pressing, sewing (you get the gist). All that is left is the batting, quilting (I'll leave this task to the class instructor) and to complete the binding. ***Cute little chihuahua reindeer not included!

What a great gift!

For a "Coffee Lover" like me. My sweet co-worker, Jenny-Pie, made me these AWESOME coffee cozies! You slip them over your Starbucks Latte in place of that plain brown sleeve. Love them so much -- use them frequently! They go very well with the Starbucks Gift card I received. What a great birthday I had!

Pop-A-Latte Cards

That is what my sweet and talented friend Theresa has been up to! She has been very, very busy putting together lots of beautiful jewelry and she took some time to create this special charm just for me. I LOVE IT SO MUCH and will treasure it ALWAYS. Thanks to all who attended my Fa La La La Latte class on Friday 7/16! You girls were great and so many of you completed all 12 cards in the alloted time! You Rock! See... I knew it could be done! I also want to thank you for letting me take your cute photos to share here on my blog, the Scrapbooks, Etc Blog and the Scrapbooks-Etc Face Book Page! I really appreciate that and I'm sure that everyone is enjoying watching the slide show starring you!

I'm having a nice vacation this week. Had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Scrap Sista's retreat at the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler. I headed there shortly after class for some girl time! I am spending this week at home...catching up on things around the house and enjoying some family time.

Fa La La La Latte

My next class is scheduled for Friday, July 16th. Let's have Christmas in July...or as I have named it, "Fa La La La Latte." We will make 12 Christmas Cards from one sheet of patterned paper! The color scheme is traditional with deep reds and rich greens. There will be reindeers and much, much more. I created these little class teaser cards to list the class name and date. A Funny thing...

...happened while I was shopping at my FAV scrapbook store on Friday night. I went to purchase some Bazzill Just the Edge Borders and I found my layout on the packaging! Silly me! Imagine my surprise! One of my greatest professional joys is being part of the Bazzill Design Team. I never know where my work is going to show up...in a magazine ad? On QVC? And now, even on the packaging! I love surprises!!!

Almost...

...done with my June Master Mini Books Project! Woke up this morning and decided the cover needed a banner (I know, how cute). I'm posting a sneak peak at the inside! This book has lots to offer...Of course there are the adorable BBQ die cuts, 3 acrylic pages + 6 chipboard pages, pom poms, flowers, buttons, rickrack and ribbon and we will finish up our BBQ project with a strawberry pie (a paper pie that is). A few sassy sayings will be added to spice up this project! Completed project goes on display Friday at Scrapbooks, Etc.!
