So....

Why don't I....Take on what may possibly be the largest swap ever (perhaps I will be in the Genus Book of World Records), design my first ever "POP-UP" card class, VOLUNTEER to teach at the store sampler next month, be invited to UPDATE my class teacher board, host the "Par-Tee of the Summer," AND decide it is time for me to make Christmas quilt during the month of August????

Something must not be "quite right" with me! HA! (anyone else sense a MELTDOWN approaching?) J/K...I am loving every moment of this super busy time!

BTW: Next month I will have both an evening and a day POP-A-LATTE card class! Class dates are Thursday, September 16th 6 to 8:30 PM and Friday, September 17th, 10:30 to 1. We will do 4 Fall and 4 Halloween POP-UP cards! Call the Scrapbooks, Etc to sign-up at 480-854-2303.

Here is my quilt that I have worked so hard on...cutting, pressing, sewing, pressing, sewing, pressing, sewing (you get the gist). All that is left is the batting, quilting (I'll leave this task to the class instructor) and to complete the binding. ***Cute little chihuahua reindeer not included!

Birthday Wishes...

I recently celebrated a Birthday. I was so flattered to receive many wonderful gifts and cards. Two of my favorites (yes two) were sent to me by my BFF Cindy. The inside of the card on the left reads... "hope your birthday is as AWESOME as a Chihuahua riding a chicken!" Thanks BFF...it was! xoxo

$125.75 Raised!

Dear AZ Humane Society,

We hold an annual event for a group of women who scrapbook. Typically at this event, we run games and give away prizes. This year, we struggled to decide what to do for game. We considered having an animal theme because we are known for our love for our dogs. Suddenly, we had a great idea to do something different this year. We asked each event participant to purchase the prize tickets with 100% of the proceeds going to the Humane Society.

We were very pleased at the generosity of these wonderful ladies. The jar we brought was filled to the top. It added to the happiness of the day knowing that a lot of good can come from a small contribution by each individual.

We could not have pulled it all together without the help from our dear friend (and animal lover) Barbara “Crop” Aras. She made the entry tickets with stamped paw prints, decorated all the gift bags and contributed to the prizes given away.

Please find the enclosed check for the money we collected and a portion of the profits from sales made that day. Thank you for all you do for the well-being of our furry friends!

Thank you, Georgia Hauglid and Susan Mast

Shabby Masters...

Just wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that the Shabby Master's Project was designed for Mother's Day! The beautiful words in this book speak to the costs of raising a child. I opened a few more spaces in the class last night and that will be all. We are almost out of seats and running low on supplies. Class is less than 2 weeks away so please call Scrapbooks, Etc. and reserve your spot! 480-854-2303
P.S. It has been a few days since I posted a cute picture of a little dog! Enjoy!

Scrapbooking is my LIFE...

TRANSLATION: Sewing is just not my thing. Maybe I'll revisit this craft in the future if classes for making doggie clothes are offered. That could be useful to me.
Seriously...I enjoyed the class, re-learned a few things and had a good time! But, I'm just a Paper Girl!
