Page of the Day....

My personal two week challenge! I was just looking over my blog and noticing all the words on it. WUWT! My initial purpose for starting this blog was to share my work. I've decided that for the next two weeks I am going to post a page every day. That's 14 pages...which is a lot of pages for a mini book gal, such as myself. Day One - my friend Debby titled this one for me (she's good at that). To kick things off... I'm doing a two for one today - two pages which I am counting as one! Enjoy!!! (photos courtesy of Petrini Photography).

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS...

...WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:
(1) They live here. You don't. (2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture. (3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly.

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they (1) eat less, (2) don't ask for money all the time, (3) are easier to train, (4) normally come when called, (5) never ask to drive the car, (6) don't hang out with drug-using people; (7) don't smoke or drink, (8) don't want to wear your clothes, (9) don't have to buy the latest fashions, (10) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and (11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children

Cute Layout...

This morning I put on my fluffy white robe for warmth and it reminded me of this fall layout I did a few years back for the Xyron Design team. Would you believe that the cute little boy in this photo recently got his drivers license? Anyway... hope everyone is having a fun peaceful weekend!

POINTS: 1 (a) 2 (b) 4 (c) 6 2 (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 7 (d) 2 (e) 1 3 (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 5 (d) 7 (e) 6 4 (a) 4 (b) 6 =2 0 (c) 2 (d) 1 5 (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 2 6 (a) 6 (b) 4 (c) 2 7 (a) 6 (b) 2 (c) 4 8 (a) 6 (b) 7 (c) 5 (d) 4 (e) 3 (f) 2 (g) 1 9 (a) 7 (b) 6 (c) 4 (d) 2 (e) 1 10 (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points. OVER 60 POINTS : Others see you as someone they should 'handle withcare.' You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremelydominant. Others may admire you, wishing20they could be more like you, but don'talways trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS : Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, ratherimpulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once;someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS : Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the centerof attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'llalways cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS : Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful &practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest.. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who'sextremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trustin your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if thattrust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They seeyou as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle andA 0then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS : People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make thedecisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Somepeople think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that youaren't.

Altered Frame

Here is a magnetic altered frame I did using a mask technique, with Ranger Distress inks. I used Shattered Straw ink with the foam pad applicator to ink the white paper flowers by Bazzill. Also toned down the white Bazzill ribbon with the same technique. The photo is of my favorite model, Sophie.

Heidi's Group

I had the best time today teaching for Heidi's group in Tempe. Everyone did such an awesome job with their project and had fun doing it. Mental Feng Shui...

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully. TWO.. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other. THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want. FOUR. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it. FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye. SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married. SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight. EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much. NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely. TEN.. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.. ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives. TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly. THIRTEEN! ... When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?' FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk. FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze . SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson. SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions. EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship. NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it. TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice. TWENTY- ONE. Spend some time alone.

I have LUSTED after this....

(that's right -- I said LUSTED) for 2 years and now I have one of my very own. This is the ultimate color resource for designers!!!Now I have all the matching RGB code numbers so my ink color matches the equivalent Bazzill cardstock color. Woo Hoo! It comes in the coolest faux leather storage box which holds an actual sample of each cardstock color in the Bazzill collection. Each 3 x 5 cardstock sample is printed with the color name and textures, Bazzill part number, and the Pantone, RGB, and CMYK codes needed to match Bazzill color. When it arrived Friday - I literally embraced it. HAPPY! HAPPY! HAPPY!

This what we need...

for our home scrapbook spaces... one of those serious lights like they have at the dentist's office. You know... the kind that slides across the ceiling to shine light just where you need it with not using any of our precious table space. Someone get to work on creating a reasonably priced one of these for us. Yes, get right on that!

Nancy came to cut today...

for my February Master Mini Books Class at Scrapbooks, Etc. While she was here she cut out: 675 circles, 150 Kitchen words and 150 Kitchen word outlines, 75 little brackets and 150 basic corner punches. She is an amazing "multi-tasker" and in her downtime and she punched out 150 scallop shapes, and about 100 or more fancy photo corners. After all this she cut ribbon and packed up some embellishments for Heidi's group. What would I do without my Nancy. Love ya!!!

My Scrapbook Space...My Happy Place 2006

I did this Mini Book a few years back for Xyron's Design team (to highlight the PCS cutter) and they never picked it up. It gets even cuter inside...My Scrapbook space. Anyway, Crop (Pres of MSD) loves it and has been asking me to do it as a class for years. So an even better version of this project is in the works!!! A 2009 version of this class concept will be my March Scrap-a-Latte class. Any left over class kits will be available in my on-line store. The envelopes will be black and the cute papers will be by Prima! Think we will break out the Zutter bind it all too!
