With a little help...

...from my family! I had to put together an assembly line to pack up all these die cuts! I have never been so busy putting kits together as I have with this class and had to call in reserves! Unexpected (but always welcomed) Bazzill design team assignments and the task of coordinating 23 Creative Escape swaps consisting of 326 items threw me off schedule. Just a few hours until class time and I'm up bright and early to print the directions!

I just need to make it through class and then I am officially on vacation! A much needed vacation I may add. Tonight I will be at the Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler attending the Scrap Sistaz Retreat with my girlfriends. Okay, maybe it's a STAYcation - but I'm good with that!

Meanwhile, here is another one of the cards we will be making!

For anyone who is interested...

a friend of mine picked up a copy of the Aussie Magazine that has my Scrapper's Dictionary Project featured. She picked it up her copy at the Barnes and Noble in the Chandler Fashion Center.

The magazine is called "Scrapbook Creations" and it's number 75 (Vol. 8 No. 12).

It seems like a lifetime ago....

But I really used to know how to sew... As a matter of fact, I made my Prom Dress and the cool black lace (Madonna inspired) gloves that I'm wearing in this photo! I won awards for sewing back in High School. I was so young, I was so thin, I was even quite shy.

So, why am I talking about sewing on my Scrapbook /Little Doggy Blog? Because tomorrow I am scheduled to take a sewing class so I can re-familiarize myself with this craft and better assist customers at Scrapbooks, Etc. (sometimes I have to leave my happy place...aka the paper room).

With some help from my wonderful friends (Theresa and Cynthia) I managed to cut out the pattern. Tomorrow, in class with a seasoned professional, Deanna B., I will attempt to make an apron.

Now time for a confession....I am scared that I will really, really like sewing and I absolutely CAN NOT take on another hobby! Wish me luck everyone...I'll let you know how it goes!!!

Yard Sale

There has been ALOT of movement, purging and rearranging going on in my household. I'm so proud of myself for getting another 4 boxes of gently used scrapbook supplies ready for the big Yard Sale this Saturday at Scrapbooks, Etc. Maybe I'll find the energy to get a few more boxes together tonight!

Computers...

I think we have all have a love-hate relationship with them! Yesterday I laid out most of the product that Jenny and I have collected for our April 24th "Shabby Masters" class and photographed this beautiful color palette to share. This morning I uploaded the photos and somehow managed to delete them. Problem is, I gave Jenny the die cuts. I know what you are thinking...and yes, I will do it all again. Just as soon as I finish my "hissy fit." Hee hee. Have a great day everyone!

Scrapbook Creations Magazine

My first international publication (not counting Canada)!!! Scrapbook Creations commissioned me to have my Scrapper's Dictionary project published in their wonderful magazine. What an honor. The Scrapper's Dictionary project was a Master Mini Books Class that I did at Scrapbooks, Etc. last summer. Scrapbook Creations did an awesome job showcasing my project and were a pleasure to work with!!!

Favorite Christmas Card

I have received so many beautiful handmade Christmas cards this year...but I must say this card my BFF Cindy sent to me is my all time favorite. The inside sentiment reads, "To get my dignity back." LOVE IT!!!

Nugget Box Frenzy

I have been busy working on Nugget Boxes for students in my Scrap-a-Latte 2010 Calendar Class today. Each box has been hand cut, hand scored and hand assembled. Just for the record...my hand hurts! I want to give each student a little gift as 2009 comes to a close and let them know how very much I appreciate each and every one of them. Paper is by My Mind's Eye and Tulle is from Bazzill.

Guess who Santa!

On Thanksgiving we took Biscotti to see Santa at Scrapbooks, Etc. Do you think that Santa was uncomfortable that they both wore the same thing?!
